They went 7-1-2 in the American Mideast Conference (AMC) and made it all the way to the conference championship game where they would lose to Notre Dame (Ohio) 2-1.
Their performance throughout the season earned them an at large bid to the national tournament. The Cougars hosted the first tournament game and won over Lee University (Tenn.) 2-0. They would advance to the next round and face Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) and pick up another victory winning 1-0. They would then advance to the quarter final and upset Westmont (Calif.) 1-0. Their run would unfortunately come to an end in the semi-finals with a 1-0 loss to Rio Grande (Ohio).
