MVNU remembers alumna killed on 9/11

On the 15th anniversary of 9/11 we remember those who lost their lives including one of our own, Molly McKenzie, class of 1985. Molly was a budget analyst working on the first floor of the Pentagon that tragic day.

She was a mother of two, a wife, a daughter and a sister. She attended Cocalico High School in Denver, Pennsylvania through her junior year and graduated from Mount Vernon High School after her family moved.

She finished her education at MVNC gaining her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

McKenzie enjoyed sports, such as volleyball and karate. She played the clarinet, sang and participated in theater at Cocalico.

We invite the MVNU community to take a few moments to pray for the McKenzie family and the families of the 2,996 others killed on September 11, 2001.

There is a memorial set up in the Archives located in the basement of Thorne Library. If you are interested in seeing the memorial contact Paul Nixon at pnixon@mvnu.edu.
