Cougars recognized at league level

Five MVNU Cougars have already garnered Crossroad League recognition this season.

Last week, senior women’s soccer captain Shannon Gwynn earned defensive honors for leading the defense against Savannah College of Art and Design. Junior Regina Rudder earned offensive honors for her goal in the first six minutes of play in the same game.

Men’s soccer goalie, junior Adam Miller, also received honors last week as he was named Crossroads League Defensive Player of the Week for his protection of the goal against Cornerstone University and Rochester College. Senior men’s soccer player Enrique Salazar was named Offensive Player of the Week last week and this week after inking six goals so far this season.

Volleyball senior Annelise Rohrer was named Attacker of the Week after registering 61 kills this week.
