Men's Cross Country graduates three

The men’s cross country team graduates three seniors for the 2016 season, Jake Sherer, Simon Taylor, and Ben Pook.

The team placed 7th at the Crossroads league championship this season.

The three runners enjoyed their time at MVNU and will miss the team’s trips to the various competitions. Those adventures claim many memories they will cherish for a lifetime.

When asked what they will miss the most all three mentioned their teammates. The relationships and environment of the team made the biggest impact.

“The best part about running cross country is the friendships that you build,” said Pook. “Your team becomes your second family and is always there for you.”

As their career comes to a close the seniors want their teammates to know time will fly and these years will be gone before they know it. The seniors encourage their teammates to make the most of the opportunities they have at MVNU and on the cross country team.

Jake Sherer emphasizes the chance to make an impact on others.

“I would say take advantages of opportunities to help others all the time, you can affect people in so many positive ways” said Sherer.

Simon Taylor simply encouraged his teammates to “work hard, play hard”.

Being a part of this team has been a great experience for the senior runners. They look forward to seeing how the legacy will continue on throughout the years.
