MVNU named to Victory Media's Military Friend Schools list

MVNU was named to Victory Media’s Military Friendly Schools List for 2017.

For veterans and military students who decide to attend college, Victory Media’s Military Friendly list serves as a guide to universities that will work best with their military background.

Daniel Nichols, the chief product officer of Victory Media, says Victory Media looks for universities with outcomes that exceed normal benchmarks, demonstrate the best practices in terms of policies, resources, staffing, and training, and are responsive to the voice of student veterans.

Universities can qualify to be on the Military Friendly list through taking a survey on Victory Media’s website. According to Victory Media, they will be ranked based on public data and through voluntary data given by veterans, military students and employees.

The analysis also considers student retention, graduation rate, job placement, loan repayment, load rates and more.

“We are looking at the transition into success for civilian life,” Nichols said.

Over 1,700 schools participated in the 2017 survey, with 1,273 schools making the list.

“MVNU is thankful for the service of our veterans and those currently in one of the branches of the military,” said Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management James Smith. “We are eager to help make college accessible and affordable for them, as another way to say thank you for their service. It is an honor for our efforts to be recognized and be included on this list of schools.”

MVNU’s Director of Admissions and Student Recruitment Tracy Waal echoed those sentiments and said recognition on Victory Media’s list will allow the university to be more visible to potential students in the future.

In addition to providing a list of military friendly school and universities, Victory Media offers a list of military friendly employers for veterans and those currently serving.
