Galloway traffic rerouted

As cars, trucks, and U-Hauls flood campus the next few days, many students and families may be confused to find the main entrance to the Galloway parking lot inaccessible.

Galloway parking and traffic is now being rerouted through the new entrance by Cougar Corner bookstore. The new entrance is meant to keep off-campus visitors from taking up spaces in the Galloway lot.

Director of Facilities Denny Taylor said the change came about because “on numerous occasions cars were parked in the Galloway lot during events on campus.”

The new entrance will protect the residents of Galloway by making the parking lot off limits to event visitors. Facilities is currently working to install appropriate signs to direct event parking to the rear of Ariel Arena, Taylor said.
